Lena is a communications professional and award-winning former broadcast journalist who knows how important good storytelling is in creating meaningful social change. 

As a TV anchor and reporter, Lena covered a range of topics, from breaking news and politics to social justice and environmental issues. Working as a reporter taught her how to break down complex stories into easy-to-understand pieces and pitch stories to newsroom managers effectively. 

Lena also worked as the Communications Director at an environmental non-profit, advocating for policy change to help protect the precious bodies of water in the American West. Through her media campaigns, Lena helped the organization receive coverage from local, regional and national news, like the Washington Post, Associated Press, and Politico’s E&E News. 

Lena was born and raised in Japan, where most of her family still resides. She is currently based in Colorado, and enjoys rock climbing, hiking, and spending time outdoors.
